+1 for the Epson. I have one on my network and my ubuntu server accesses
it without issue. I also have an HP 8600 OfficeJet Pro networked in that
works well (the HP is really fast for printing text and has some cool
options). In fact, both of these network printers communicate flawlessly
with Ubuntu and Debian machines (as well as my Mac, BSD, and even a Win
box).
