Hi,

There are two ways included with Ubuntu by default the first [1] (my 
personal choice) is SSH or secure shell, in my experience this requires 
less bandwidth and is quicker than the second option, but it is command 
line based and not as pretty as VNC
VNC [2] is more graphical but therefore slower and requires more bandwidth!

note: both ways will require your customers to 'let you in' i.e you 
cannot just access their files! (unless you set it up prior to selling 
them the machine, even then you will be discoverable!)
