updates issue with 12.04

Hi,

It isn't preventing updates but I repeatedly get a message saying my
updates were checked x days ago (currently 10). Today I got a red
triangle notifier icon on the panel and was told to check updates. OK,
when I do I wait a while and get the text appended. Anyone make sense
of this? Not any kind of emergency but a nuisance.

THanks.

Dave
