Hi,
He is not the only person with a choice of GUI's installed im sure!
I would start by firing up one of the others, and check the log file
viewer for the xlog, that should give you a clue where to start looking
(hopefully!)
Failing that is it worth removing plasma-desktop and installing again or
one of the suggestions Liam made?
that would be my starting point, without more info it is hard to tell,
but hopefully something in the logs!
