Where are Backintime's logs kept?

Used Backintime for backups on 10.04 and just installed it on 12.04.
Twice I tried to do backups and it failed both times with file attribute
errors. I tried to access the error logs through the program but it
locked up both times.
I tried to find them but,
jfb at jims1204:~$ locate backintime
/usr/share/app-install/desktop/backintime-gnome:backintime-gnome.desktop
/usr/share/app-install/desktop/backintime-kde:kde4__backintime-kde4.desktop
is all that returns.
On 10.04 that command produced a large list of files.
So does anyone know where backintime's logs are located.
Thanks, Jim
