Package power limit notifications

Hey everyone,

Has anyone had any luck preventing these notifications from piling up in 
the logs? At least preventing them from piling up in the thousands. It 
is a known issue on bugzilla as well as launchpad. I do not see where 
anyone has managed to control it without simply stopping the power 
consumption limits altogether.

I am running 12.04.2 on a Dell R520.

they look like this:
