Ubuntu 12.10 installation problems

To verify checksums -

Step-1) Ubuntu 12.10 and 12.04.2 have checksums available from links at
right-bottom of the page - http://www.ubuntu.com/download/desktop: open
md55sums/sha1sums (sha1 is preferrable)

Step-2) From Windows, Download 'fciv.exe' from Microsoft's site
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/841290 and follow instructions
(or)
>From Linuxes, you have 'md5sum' and also 'sha1sum' as commands from terminal

Use any of these methods as 'sha1sum ubuntu-12.04-amd64blahblah.iso'(if
from Linux) to obtain checksum of your download
This one should match with the one provided on that website



Run any of these to obtain respective checksums
