Did it originally work on the live CD or don't you know?

As you say the link you posted says it is all working in Precise so
there should be no need to mess about with drivers, and it did work
originally, so you have to work out what has stopped it from working.
You said you had not checked the logs in your original post, but
presumably you have done that now, what does it say about the
controller if anything?

Did you change anything in the BIOS when you changed the drives?
