Wish to dual boot

From my own personal experience I would just go ahead and make it an
Ubuntu machine, disable UEFI altogether and let it boot from legacy. I
had the same problem when I tried to dual-boot Windows 8 and Ubuntu on
an IBM Thinkpad t-430, after getting nowhere I just did away with
Windows and disabled UEFI, since then no problems whatsoever!
