Oh, now that is a terrible shame. You should have eBayed it. I suspect
you'd have made hundreds. It's a genuine collectors' item now.
I think it was probably WordPerfect for *Unix* rather than *Linux*.
WP5.1 had a version for SCO Xenix - I installed it and supported it
back then. It required printer drivers to be hand-customised in C
shell. Linux didn't exist yet back around the time of WP5.1.
WordPerfect 7.x/8.x had a native graphical version for Linux, and very
good it was, too.

This would be a text-mode (i.e. console) application, right?
I guess you could have got it working under the ancient SCO Xenix
emulation package - I can't even remember what that was called. Never
used it, although I've come close.

The Youtube clip offers one idea - install under 8.04, zip up the
installed copy, transfer and replace a few missing libraries. That
might be worth a try.
