I have been using the FF Nightly for many years now - and also the
Thunderbird one which has been renamed DAILY (which you can get here-
http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/thunderbird/nightly/latest-comm-central/
[same installation instructions as for FF]).

But keep both the standard-issue of FF and TB for your distro because on
the rare occasion FF or TB does develop a problem and one has to use the
stanard-issue version of the app while the bug(s) is ironed out. I have
mixed and matched several time over the years.

Most happy to have been of some help.
