Firstly I believe it must be the 64 bit version of Ubuntu for UEFI.
Is that what you tried?
Secondly I don't know whether Ubuntu Studio 64 bit has all the right
stuff.  I think it must be at least the equivalent of 12.04.2 to work
with UEFI.  I suggest you try with standard Ubuntu 13.10 64 bit first
just to see if it runs, then if that is ok try standard ubuntu 12.04.3
64 bit latest.
