Imap trash settings

I'm trying to understand your question.  I think you're asking what 
happens when a user trashes an e-mail from their client?  AFAIK, it's 
removed immediately, that's the point of IMAP.  That's provided that they 
have the client configured to do so, in TB I believe there's a setting 
about that, what to do with deleted e-mails.

(Of course, on the server, you may want to backup all incoming e-mails for 
this exact reason, to protect users from themselves.)

I think this behaviour would be defined in the IMAP specification.  Bring 
on the RFC's...

Or, maybe, I misunderstood the question :)
