WS=> I had partial success. I was able to disable the bluetooth service
but I still was not able to completely eliminate modem-manager. This is
what I did...

1. I opened up a root terminal (for convenience).
2. I was unable to make sense of what was in etc/init so I just moved
the files bluetooth.conf and modemmanager.conf temporarily to the /root
directory.
I did this so I could easily restore them if the system became
unstable.
3. With those two files made temporarily unavailable, I rebooted the
computer.
4. After rebooting, the computer seems to be stable.
5. When I checked (as root) ps -e, it showed that bluetooth was disabled
but modem-manager was still there.

I surely am missing something or maybe the network needs it?
