Thanks for the welcome.

I'm just now beginning to seriously consider a tablet/ereader due to a
personal history project where a lot of the books I am searching for are
available only in various digital forms due to the age of the books.
Usually published between.......... 1890-1930. And hauling a computer
around just to read them is a PITA. But printing them is even worse,
once you consider the cost vs. buying a tablet.
I didn't know about the Kobo Glo. Thanks for the heads up. I wish I
could actually go see one, but apparently Best Buy doesn't carry them,
and that's the only local option for actually seeing one.
Reading PDF and TXT format files does concern me for the ereaders, as I
really wonder if all PDF and TXT files can be zoomed in and still retain
line wraps.
At any rate, I'm not going to buy anything until Apple releases iOS 7.
I want to try to avoid the "I wish I could do that" and "I didn't know I
could do that" reactions as much as possible. So, seeing one in a store
would be great, regardless of which brand it is. It seems the Google
Nexus is the most cutting edge unit at the moment, as far as pure
horsepower is concerned.
I just installed Calibre on this Mac. Until I learned of its existence,
I was worried about file formats. Now that's not a problem.
