What accounts and protocols are you using?

Is it possible that you are using two different names, aliases or
nicknames for the same account?

E.g. my AOL account is also an Apple iChat account. My Hotmail account
is also an Outlook.com account. It would be possible to configure
these twice in Pidgin and then you will get messages by both routes.

If you list your accounts - we *don't need full names or passwords* or
anything confidential! - then we might be able to spot such a thing.
