If you look at my web page in the sig, I have "eclectic" interests, so I do
both, then throw in handloading enough to wear out 4 30 cal barrels & 2
22-250's since the 1960 era, and a few other guns & gun stocks since (but
they aren't on the web page, paranoia rules), and you begin to see what
keeps me out of the bars. :D Several pieces of furniture in my house were
made by me, and I also took some pix when I built an entertainment center
for the next door neighbors, that one out of white ash. Ours, which I
never got a finished pix of before I hauled it into the house, is solid
Cherry. Godzilla could have wrecked the E.S.Building model they were using
in the movie with the white ash version.

In my working life, I was a broadcast engineer, one of those techs that
trouble shot to, and replaced the bad 17 cent part on a $1300 circuit
board. Or correct some other idiot engineers mistakes at times. We needed a
motorized satellite dish made it of a fixed 3.7 meter one, so I hauled out
the smith wrench and built it. 20 years later its still in daily use. Oh,
and I'm a C.E.T. too and have an old, slightly tattered FCC 1st Phone
ticket too. All on an 8th grade education.

But to put that in the proper perspective, with all that, you'll still need
about a buck forty for a 16 oz coffee to go at 7-11. ;) Now, I'm a 78 yo
fart whose short term memory is starting to fade. Dammit. :(

Enjoy it while you can, Basil. :)

Cheers, Gene
