Whoops - yes, I meant is the user a member of the group ... :-)
I had the problem of a not working sound system after the upgrade from
10.04 (where it worked). Tried everything and nothing worked, until I
read the hint about the group. When I checked the user wasn't a member
anymore. Changed theat and I got my sound back ... it would have saved
me some time if I had checked that at the beginning ... :-)
