Really?  I never saw this as a recommended user interface technique in 
any of the books I have read on human-machine interfaces.

Here's a slick one:  in a terminal type 'man ' followed by the name of 
ANY installed program.  Of course, it doesn't hop, explode, wriggle, 
slide or change colors or shape.
