I use webmin since 1998 (it's first version was of 1997) >
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Webmin
and I haven't had much problems over the years. I would like to hear the
reasons why some people don't like it as it proves to be a very reliable
OS manager (for Linux). Of course you have to become accustomed to its
interface etc. but it was the first system manager with a browser
interface and about customization:why do you think I use Xubuntu?!
I don't like answers like "in Ubuntu is the package was not maintained
in Debian and the Debian Developer who had been maintaining it requested
its removal a few years ago". I'm a scientist Retired) and nonsense
answers annoy me immensely.
It is a pity as I am sure many users would be helped very much by this
package. Of course I can get it from the Webmin site >
http://www.webmin.com/
where you even can download a Debian package but I think it is an
oversight it is not in the Ubuntu repositories.
