Probably not - Pointsec will be sitting in the MBR already so if you
answer yes, you'll overwrite Pointsec meaning you'll need to be able
to re-install it if you want to boot into your encrypted windows
partition.

Are you, by any chance, installing on a company laptop and trying to
slide in a dual-boot install beside an existing Windows installation?
If you are, I'd be exceptionally careful if I were you...

hello Steve,

I am installing ubuntu server as a VM in vmplayer. per your caution, i
did not install GRUB, now i am not able to boot into this VM image. I am able to boot into windows xp fine.

to rephrase:

pc has pointsec -> win xp is the os -> i have vmplayer installed -> inside this vmplayer, i want to install ubuntu server as a VM.

during this installation it is asking me whether it should install GRUB on MBR or not?   and i am not sure....
