*shrug* Once upon a time "GNOME" meant its ORB framework (for the kids,
there was a time when we actually envied Windows' COM and OLE. Yes,
really). That's frankly a better definition of what's actually "GNOME"
than the graphical toolkit, the window manager, the file manager, and
the desktop manager (those two now being different things, which they
weren't for about a decade or so). Though I'm hard-pressed to think of a
desktop environment that didn't support bonobo and doesn't support dbus.
