Someone did imply that Kubuntu was based off of GNOME, which it isn't. 
It is based off of the beautiful KDE and has nothing to do with XFCE, 
LXDE, or the Unity shell, either.

Liam, would it be too much to ask that you please back off a little bit? 
The Ubuntu community should work together, not against one another just 
because one person does not understand meanings of terms. Not everyone 
should or will.
