Multiple issues: LDAP/LightDM/SLIM/Unity

Hi Stephen

   In SLIM login manager you cannot directly reboot/shutdown from the unity
menu, it will just logout the user.
So you can reboot your machine by typing "reboot" at username field and
root password in the password field. And  shutdown your machine by typing
"halt" at username field and root password..
