bad download?

So did the md5sum match?  If so then the file is ok.
What exactly do you mean by Brasero saying it is a bad file?  Can you
tell us the exact error message please and when it occurred?

Note that in Brasero to burn an iso image you should select Burn Image
on the opening dialog.
