bad download?

Downloaded the 12.04 image (twice) and both times Brasero said it was a
bad file. Moreover, I couldn't find any reference to the md5 sum on the
web site. Did Marvelous Mark decide that would confuse Grampa and Gramma
too much? I realise that it's on the
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/UbuntuHashes site but it should be on
the distro site accessible from the d/l page.
