I know my reply could be categorized as a "Now, you tell me!" bit of 
info, but in my defense I'm just now catching up with the list. Anyways,  
Thunderbird 11.0.1 versions for Natty and Lucid are currently available 
in their respective proposed repositories undergoing testing. According 
to this bug report https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/thunderbird/
+bug/972840 "Thunderbird 11 stable release migration ", the packages will 
be moved into the main repos sometime this week assuming all goes well 
with testing.
