Hi Hooman

I don't recall doing anything special in the past apart from tweaking 
the fan at some stage. I'm sure I had at least 9.xx of Ubuntu on it and 
have upgraded since.
Just tested suspend mode now by either closing lid or selecting Suspend 
from the menu and it comes back up from suspend mode no problems.

If I get time this week I will try a fresh install of 11.10 on another 
partition of the machine and see if I have any issues with suspend... 
the only other thing I can think of is that perhaps you have a slightly 
different model S10? My model is 20015 and was manufactured back in 
November 2008.
