Is kernel 3.0x coming to Natty Narwal aka Ubuntu 11.04

After the release date I wouldn't expect any version changes for
installed packages. There may be some exceptions (e.g. Firefox, IIRC)
but usually you only get security fixes.

If you need the 3.x kernel you have several options:

1. Upgrade your system to the latest Ubuntu version (i.e. Oneiric).
2. Install the Kernel from Oneiric on your Natty system. I did this with
   previous Ubuntu versions, but I didn't try the Oneiric kernel with
   Natty.
3. You could compile the wanted kernel on your machine [1].
4. Request a backport of the new kernel [2] - I'm not sure how likely it
   is to be successful with that request.
