Ubunto installation problem

To whom it may concern,

This is my first try on installing Ubonto. I've followed some videos on youtune, but it didn't go as well.

Package: installation-reports

Boot method: Booting from CD
Image version: http://www.ubuntu.com/start-download?distro=desktop&bits=64&release=latest
Date: 17OCT2011/2115

Machine: Selfbuild (running W7 at the moment)
Processor: Intel i7-920 @ 4200mhz
Memory: 3x2gb Corsair 1600mhz DDR3
Partitions: I don't know how to get a raw partition table in windows, but there is only one on my harddrive. Also only one harddrive. It's a WD 300Gb 
 

Output of lspci -knn (or lspci -nn): don't know

Comments/Problems: The loader fails at the Ubunto boot screen. The "dots" light up and extinguish and then the attatched picture happens. 
Same thing happens when trying to install a different linux based system. On wedensday I will try and create a partition for Ubunto, but I was under the impression it wasn't needed. 
At the moment it will not even run from the CD.
