I know a lot of users futz around with partition management, but I 
don't. If I dual boot with one drive I tell the regular installation 
software how much to use and let it do it's own thing. If it's a 
multiple drive system, my preferred method, I tell it which drive to use 
and let it go. The standard installation software is quite capable of 
dealing with simple installations all on it's own.
