Mentioned/suggested in my post regarding GetDeb...

The only issue I have with GetDeb is that it enables a full repository
that the user might not wish to have. Update Manager thereafter nags to
upgrade this & that...

What I've found is if I want something from GetDeb I just go to the repo
directory directly & only download/install what I wish[1] or enable,
install what I want, and then disable the repo following the install.
