I didn't enable the proposed repo for the USB, otherwise the "Sound
Preferences" bug wouldn't be there, but on the previous test installs
all repositories were properly enabled, and this bug well addressed,
to no avail. While recording I still got a terribly distorted sound.
This time sound was clear while still running Natty from USB, just
after rear mic was enabled on alsamixer.
I believe it was something related with differences between the actual
release and what I got from CD Daily version some days before, things
that weren't properly addressed by the subsequent updates.
I'm not running Natty right now so I can't $ apt-cach policy pulseaudio.
Anyway it's working...
