Unity 2D is working pretty well for me on Natty. There are some
features not fully implemented and there are some bugs that can
apparently cause crashes though I have not experienced any. Looking
at the bug list there may also be memory leaks so maybe not a good
idea to use it if you want the machine to run for days or weeks at a
time without a reboot. If you want to keep up to date with the latest
fixes and enhancements there is a ppa at
ppa:unity-2d-team/unity-2d-daily, though obviously there are inherent
risks in using daily builds. Again I have not experienced any
problems with it (so far anyway).
