No need to shout. But I have to agree with you about Unity being good for
small screens, but seems to offer nothing to desktops.

I must be using it wrong, but it always took much longer to find and open
apps that I don't use very often. And the left bar that disappears at the
slightest touch of an open window, was aggravating.

You have to reach far upper left to get it back with the mouse.

Maybe all this can be customized to work more the way I like it, but why?
