11.04 freezes and I'm in recovery mode

When typing your password at the login screen, you get to choose the Desktop
Environment on the bottom panel. Normally its just "*Ubuntu*". Change the
selection to "*Ubuntu Classic"*

After booting into Recovery Mode, You get many options like:
*resume*
*dpkg*
*failsafeX*
*grub*
**......etc

Do you choose "*resume*" or "*failsafeX*"??
