11.04 freezes and I'm in recovery mode

Try selecting the *"Ubuntu
Classic"* Session when logging in, in the normal mode. *********I can boot into normal 11.04 or recovery 11.04, what is classic mode and how do I do get into it.

Also, do post your graphic card details.***********nvidia 6600gt It has been freezing in normal mode, 10.10 and 11.04, for 6 months I use recovery mode. But if it works in recovery, what do I have to do to normal so it is the same as recovery mode
I want to run in the new 11.04 desktop. not the old 10.10 that you get in recovery mode.
