Not on Natty at the moment, but it works for me too, both here and
there.

Try Compiz Settings Manager --> Window Management --> Scale --> Bindings
--> Window Picker  (defaults to super-w).

This shows all the windows on the current desktop.  I don't think there
is a way to display all windows on all desktops.
