Mixed repository with Ubuntu?

I've got 10.10 installed, but need specific features from a later version of
GPG than is available in the currently-supported version. In Debian, I'd
just do some apt-pinning and add the sid repository, but I'm not sure what
repositories to add with Ubuntu.

Failing that, I'd just like to build GPG from source, but am not sure how to
get a list of all the Ubuntu-specific build dependencies. What's the easiest
way to find that out?
