I just used Stellarium as an example (btw, openSuSE had it in November
'10 and I still currently have the Windows build dated Dec. '10 but
that's not the point I'm making). About a month ago, I tried Linux Mint
just for grins & giggles and although it was OK, I still prefer Ubuntu.
However, LM uses the same repository as Ubuntu but for some reason, I
received the latest version of Alien Arena which was different from the
Ubuntu one. When I switched back to Ubuntu a few days later, it
downloaded the previous version of the game. Again, I'm just using
these examples to illustrate the inconsistency (or just plain weirdness)
of the repositories.
