Well, yeah, and what I saw was that it was set for a screen resolution
of 1920x1200, which is wrong.  According to HP's technical specs on
it, it can be up to 1920x1080.

Now, in 1920x1080 mode, the screen display is brilliant and crystal clear.

So, at least for now, that's my solution.
