Didja crank up the nVidia X-server setup tool? That might help, and be
sure to allow it to write out a new etc/xorg.conf file. Myself, I use
jockey to properly install the driver. So, jockey first, nvidia X-server
setup tool second. After that you should be ready to go. Ric
