Upgrade from 6.06 LTS to 10.04 LTS

I am trying to upgrade 6.06 LTS to 8.04 LTS. I have followed this site
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/EOLUpgrades. When I run do-release-upgrade
it fails. Looking at the logs it is trying to insert a archive source for
dapper instead of what is in my sources.lst of old-releases. Is there a way
to get this upgraded?

These are production servers.
