Subject: [once again], the list's opinion of a possible ubuntu laptop
i'm about ready to go out this weekend and get one of these:
to run ubuntu 11.04 and beyond. anything i should be concerned about?
first issue is that, yes, it's an nvidia video chip but after the
grief i've had with intel i915, i just want something that works and i
refuse to get religious over this.
also, i'm not convinced that i'll see a huge benefit from the hybrid
SSD drives but i'm good with that. i'm happy getting 2 500G, 7200 rpm
HDs, and if the SSD hybridness of them speeds things up, i'll take
that as a bonus.
thoughts? thanks for any feedback.
