A "green" distro of Ubuntu?

There are two somewhat viable wide-band providers in area. Their 
*ADVERTISED* rates are more than double what I pay my _local_ 
ISP. The kicker is the fine print. To get their advertised rate 
you have to purchase 2 *TWO* other packages(of no interest to me) 
bringing effective cost to almost 10 times what I'm paying for 
marginal increase in utility. And at a massive loss in customer 
service - currently I can pick phone or drive < 5 miles and speak 
to owner of the ISP ;}
