I never tried qemu, so I can't compare it - but it really isn't
difficult. Create a virtual machine in virtualbox as a user. You don't
need to create a virtual harddisk. After finishing the virtual machine,
use the mass storage settings for this VM and point the virtual CD/DVD
drive to the ISO file.
