That's only confusing market bla-bla from competitor(s)!.
Actually the AMD-processors are 64-bit since - I think - before 2000 and 
were surely earlier with full 64-bit processors than their 
competitor(s). They still have the better memory-access lanes (goes back 
to developments originated in the CRAY machines from the nineties).
