They can't respond to demand that they don't know is there - file a
wishlist bug for it and, if enough other people request it, it will be
made available.

I'm pretty certain that you're asked when using the alternate
installer. I'd not be surprised if, for simplicity's sake, you're not
asked in the GUI installer.
