external esata connection died with my kernel(2.6.32-36-generic) update today

Just did the latest Ubuntu kernel update to 2.6.32-36-generic. When I
plugged in my external esata dock with drive and rebooted, nothing was
recognized. I'm running 10.04 64. Any suggestions?
