I have an ASUS M4A89GTD PRO motherboard with the same Realtek 8111E
ethernet card and it works fine out-of-the-box with Ubuntu 32 bit 10.10
Live CD and Linux Mint 10 (based on Ubuntu 10.10) 64 bit (both Gnome and
KDE Live CDs). Note that it did not work with Windows 7 which did
recognize my wireless USB NIC to search for a suitable driver which it
did not find; the CD shipped with the MB did have a Windows driver which
did work.
